Historic Winter Night Tour – Beechworth Gaol

Thursday and Friday evenings during the winter months – arrive 6pm for 6:15pm start – Book Now
Welcoming you as you walk through the big cast-iron gates is your story telling tour guide.

Seated by the fire under the festoon lighting or inside the cafe (weather dependent).

Your tour guide will tell you some stories of the Gaol’s past characters, events and of what went on within the walls.

You will then get a look at the cell wings, where the feeling is a little different with the florescent lights beaming down on you, and you may even get a glimpse of what it was like for the prisoners when the guards called ‘Lights Out’ – but come and see for yourself.

A couple of booking notes to ensure you have a great time –

– Dress warm as it can get quite chilly after dark at this time of year.

– We will not be serving dinner, so please plan accordingly.
